Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Python experience to work on a project for a global data analytics company serving the shipping industry.

You will join an international team of data engineers working on an IT platform for tracking ships participating in various sea voyages. The system automatically collects data on the amount of fuel, weather, speed of movement, and other factors. Based on the provided data, shipping companies can make more informed decisions and optimize their shipping budgets, get the best possible travel routes for the ship, and ensure travel safety.

The data platform team owns the end-to-end data flow as it gets ingested from our providers up to the point it’s consumed by internal and external clients. We control the flow of GPS/telemetry, weather, and sensor data, and make it available company-wide using cutting-edge cloud solutions. Currently, we are looking to expand our quickly growing data platform team with a senior data engineer who will help us supercharge our Azure endeavor.

Tech stack: Python, Azure Databricks, Serverless, ADL, SQL, DBX, Azure Pipelines, Atlassian, Agile.

Join our team of experts as a Senior Data Engineer.
